EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL KITS

These educational school kits were designed with the goal of creating a fun and engaging experience to inspire youth in getting involved with various social and environmental causes, including but not limited to: homelessness, aboriginal issues, climate change and child labour. This kit included 3 large booklets, a set of posters representing each campaign, and other printed materials to support kids in carrying out their own campaigns.

Service & Print Design

In addition to owning the design of the printed school kits, I assisted in the concepting and development the service experience for teachers around acquiring the kits at the We Day event and engaging in the educational campaigns. This involved imagining the spatial design and crafting the ideal flow through the space, including the design of RFID cards and digital kiosks for easy access to learning about and selecting the campaigns to carry out with students.

The kits would be collected by teachers at the We Day event or shipped out to schools that could not attend a We Day event. Over 8,000 kits in total were collected by teachers or distributed to schools across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

WEB DESIGN & CAMPAIGNS

A wide variety of digital campaigns were created to accompany the educational youth kits. In addition to the strategizing and designing of these digital materials, I also carried out a wide variety of web designs and digital marketing materials for many other types of campaigns.
The following highlights a few of these projects.

Education on Aboriginal Issues

The 10 illustrative images below were used as part of a social media campaign to educate youth on facts about Aboriginal peoples that are more widely unknown. These were used as posts that could easily be shared and spread across social media to encourage youth to engage in this campaign and spark curiosity to learn more about Aboriginal issues.
